Ishtiaq Hussain OBE is a senior UK Government leader working at the
intersection of governance, societal resilience and public trust. With over 15 years’ experience across five government departments, he has led national work on complex public policy and resilience challenges.
His expertise spans counter-extremism, social cohesion, and strategic governance. He is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King’s College London, Visiting Professor at the University of Northampton, and Senior Fellow at Durham University. He was awarded an OBE in 2023.
