Lesson 6: What is democracy?

This lesson gets pupils to explore democracy and consider whether it is a fairer system than others.

ALL: Explain why it is important for people to have a say in how the government is run.

MOST: Explain why people did not get as much of a say in how the government was run in the past.

SOME: Give examples of social issues that governments might spend money on and why they are important.
