Identity and diversity: What makes us who we are?

This lesson gets pupils to think about their own identity. The lesson supports the teaching of British values and SMSC development, considering tolerance for others and features of our identity, such as culture.

Learning objectives

ALL: Explain some features of my own identity, such as things I enjoy.

MOST: Explain features of my identity which I share with others, as well as why I am unique.

SOME: Use examples to explain why people’s ideas about their identity can change over time.
