What happened on 9/11 and what where the consequences?

We know that young people in school were not alive on 9/11, but most of them will have heard about that day through their family and social media. Often, students are left with a confused picture of what actually happened and struggle to see how it might continue to impact lives today. This workshop provides students with a clear timeline of the events of that day, before moving on to explore what the lasting legacy of 9/11 has been. Students are encouraged to critically discuss key questions about the impacts of 9/11 with their peers.

The learning objectives are to:
– Understand the events that took place on 9/11
– Explore the some of the key impacts o 9/11, both on individuals and wider society
– Use their critical thinking and discussion skills
