Thinking for yourself: Understanding extreme views and staying safe online (KS3)

Designed to support meaningful classroom discussion and critical thinking, this resource help students understand how harmful content can influence beliefs, recognise harmful or extremist views and stay safe online.

Learning Objective: To explain how online content can influence how we think and act, to recognise when online views may be extreme or unhealthy and to understand what to do and who to talk to if something online feels wrong.

Aligned to the 2026 statutory RSHE guidance on Online Safety and Awareness and Wellbeing Online, the resources include comprehensive teacher guidance, lesson slides, student handouts, case studies, reflection activities and homework tasks.
