Assembly: 25 Years Since 9/11

Remembering. Reflecting. Learning Together.

This assembly has been developed by SINCE 9/11 to help secondary schools mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks on 11 September 2001 in a thoughtful, age-appropriate and educational way.

Most young people in schools today were born many years after the attacks. Rather than focusing on graphic details, this assembly encourages students to understand why 9/11 remains significant, explore how ordinary people responded with courage and compassion, and reflect on the lessons that remain relevant today.

The assembly also encourages young people to think critically about information they encounter online, recognise the importance of community and belonging, and consider the positive role they can play in shaping the future.

The overall message is one of remembrance, resilience and hope.
