Poem and writing frame exploring metaphors for kindness.

An extended resource exploring the poem ‘Kind hearts are the
gardens’ by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Pupils then write their
own poems about kindness.

The learning objectives are:

• To understand and use figurative language (metaphor) to explore kindness
• To write a figurative poem about kindness
