Encourages students to think critically about why kindness matters in online spaces and to explore the social and psychological barriers that can prevent people from acting kindly online.
Rather than focusing on examples of online harm, the activity centres on positive behaviours and choices students can make to create kind online spaces.
Students will consider:
– What online kindness looks like in everyday situations
– Why kindness can sometimes feel difficult to demonstrate online
– How small actions can influence the atmosphere of online communities
Resources consist of slides and two worksheets.
