Where to go for help if you are worried about someone
The ACT Early website provide resources, advice and a support line where you can discuss your concerns in confidence. You can call the ACT Early Support Line on 0800 011 3764 to share your concerns with their specially trained officers. The Support Line is open 9:00am – 5:00pm every day.
Exit Hate Trust offer specialist 121 mentoring support to individuals who are involved in extremism and want to walk away and to families who have a loved one involved and just don’t know what to do. They also have useful resources such as films and blogs from people with lived experience of the radicalisation process. You can reach them by completing their online form, emailing [email protected] or by calling 0800 999 1945 – 10- 4 PM Monday to Friday. As they are a small team, responses normally take 3-4 working days.
Report online material promoting terrorism or extremism
Report illegal or harmful information, pictures or videos you’ve found on the internet. You can report things like: articles, images, speeches or videos that promote terrorism or encourage violence; websites made by terrorist or extremist organisations; videos of terrorist attacks. You can make your report without leaving your name and contact details.
