SINCE 9/11 marks a powerful milestone – 15 years of impact, education, and hope.
Founded on 21st April 2010 in response to the events of September 11, 2001, SINCE 9/11 was born from a simple but urgent belief: that tragedy must never be the end of the story. From the ashes of that day, our mission emerged to equip young people across the UK with the tools to understand, reflect, and build a more tolerant and cohesive society.
Over the past 15 years, our free educational programmes created in partnership with UCL Institute of Education, have reached classrooms across the UK, transforming them into spaces of dialogue, empathy, and resilience. Through pioneering resources, partnerships with academia, teachers and policymakers, and the support of communities nationwide, SINCE 9/11
has helped shape a generation committed to standing against hatred and division.
“We are incredibly proud of the work we have done over the past 15 years,” said Peter Rosengard, Founder and Chair of SINCE 9/11. “Our mission has never been more urgent. We remain committed to empowering young people with the knowledge and values they need to create a more peaceful society.”
As we look to the future, our commitment deepens. We aim to reach even more schools, inspire even more young minds, and ensure the legacy of 9/11 becomes a catalyst not for fear, but for unity, compassion, and understanding. Join us on the next chapter.
