Suitable for: Anyone working with young people aged 11+ in an educational setting, including secondary school and FE teachers, youth workers, and apprenticeship providers.

Guest Speaker: Isabelle King, Safeguarding Collective 

Isabelle King has significant experience in safeguarding children and young people in both formal and non-formal education settings. Most recently, Isabelle was the Head of Safeguarding and Prevent at the Education and Training Foundation, working with the Department for Education to ensure that post-16 educators had the support and training required. Prior to that she led the safeguarding team at Girlguiding UK and currently is the safeguarding subject expert for the Police Cadets alongside leading her safeguarding consultancy collective. 

Summary:

A free online session that explores why we find having discussions around British values challenging. What educators and settings can do to ease these challenges, considered through the lens of equality, diversity and inclusion.
